• Children under four and pets are not permitted as guests on the island.
• Meals are served family-style; adaptations can be made for those with special dietary needs.
• In keeping with the ambiance of simplicity, there are no flush toilets on the island. Privies are conveniently located around the island.
• Launch service, three times a day, is provided to and from a parking area on the mainland.
• The island has no telephones for campers' use. There are cell phones used by staff to manage the island and the campers' emergency needs.
• Oil lamps are provided in the cabins, as electricity is restricted to the main buildings.
